Sony is Releasing a Clear Crystal DualShock 4 for the PlayStation 4

These, are the crystal controllers, they'll always save the day.

If you recall, we previously covered a custom clear case for your Nintendo Switch Joy-Cons, but those required a little DIY expertise. Well, Sony is cutting out the middleman and releasing their own set of clear DualShock 4 controllers for the PlayStation. They will go on sale later this month and are another effort to bring back the clear case craze of the 90s.

The DualShock 4 controllers will be available in three colors, each exclusive to a different retailer. You can get either the Crystal at GameStop/EB Games, the Blue Crystal at Walmart, or the Red Crystal at Best. Those are the locations in the U.S. and Canada and will be available for $64.99 each. The model for the controllers is the updated DualShock 4 with the mini light bar on the touchpad.

Red Crystal
Blue Crystal

The Crystal DualShocks have appeared at various times in the life cycle of a Sony console, with a version released previously on the PS4 (without the light bar), on the PlayStation 3, and on the PlayStation 2.

European and Japanese customers will also get the Crystal controllers in October and November respectively, but will also get a new Midnight Blue and Steel Black variant of the controllers.

All that's left now if for Microsoft to release a clear version of their Xbox One controllers to complete the collection.
