What Time is Sony's State of Play Livestream and Where to Watch it: PS4, PSVR News and Reveals

Sony's first PlayStation livestream premieres today.

Sony is jumping into the streamed presentation arena with its new "State of Play" showcase premiering later today on March 25. This will be a chance for Sony to directly reach out to fans and showcase what's new for PS4 and PSVR, including game reveals, trailers, and news.

Like the Nintendo Direct and Inside Xbox livestreams, Sony will also be hosting an online, video-only presentation for all things PlayStation. You can watch a broadcast of Sony's presentation right here on USG, or at the usual suspects like Twitter, Twitch, YouTube, and Facebook.

Sony says that this is just the first episode in what is likely to be a regular occurrence for the company. Microsoft and Nintendo already found great success with this presentation format, using the opportunity to directly reveal to fans new goings on at their respective companies and consoles without any distractions. And without a presence at E3 this year, these livestreams could be the best look at what Sony is working on throughout the year.

Here are the start times for the PlayStation State of Play Livestream:

  • 2 P.M. PT
  • 5 P.M. ET
  • 9 P.M. GMT

There's no word yet on what we might see at today's State of Play livestream. There are a couple highly-anticipated exclusives in the PlayStation pipeline like The Last of Us 2, Death Stranding, and Ghost of Tsushima, and Sony says there will also be PS VR announcements today for good measure.

If anything, we'll hopefully get a good spread of news, reveals, and trailers similar to what Nintendo shows during its Direct. The last Nintendo "Nindies" Direct was pretty much a parade of video game reveals and trailers. So tune in for all things PS4 and PSVR later today.
