Spider-Man, Gamora, Haggar, and More Join Marvel vs Capcom: Infinite

The roster for the next MvC keeps growing.

Following the announcement of Darkstalkers' Jedah at Evo 2017, Capcom has announced four new additions to Marvel vs Capcom: Infinite at San Diego Comic-Con. A new trailer shows Spider-Man, Haggar, Frank West, and Nemesis joining the cast of the Marvel crossover fighter.

If those names look familiar, it's because all four were characters in Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3. There do seem to be tweaks and changes to prevent them from being simple additions. Spider-Man and Frank West look to have new Level 3 Supers, leading to the untimely demise of the Maximum Spider. West also has a set of new moves featuring his camera and tripod.

It's likely Capcom anticipated the reaction to the four additions, because the trailer features a spotlight on the all-new character of Gamora. There's a new stage which seems to be an A.I.M./Umbrella crossover joint featuring M.O.D.O.K. The Mind Stone also gets a showcase, with a stun move and a Hyper Gauge filler for its Infinity Storm.

Haggar's inclusion puts us slightly outside of the rumored full roster for the game. Jedah, Nemesis, Spider-Man, and Frank West were all on the list though, so perhaps the user was just missing a few characters. That's hopeful, as that roster wasn't too impressive for a sequel.

There is a dedicated Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite panel happening today, so there may be even more character reveals from SDCC.
