Spider-Man PS4's Mystery Villain Possibly Leaked by Voice Actor

Spider-Man PS4's Mystery Villain Possibly Leaked by Voice Actor

Mystery? Mysterio? Maybe?

At the end of Sony's new Spider-Man trailer at E3 2018, our friend Spidey was left at the mercy of his most famous villains. But not before Insomniac teased a yet unannounced villain would be fighting against Spider-Man as well. Now, thanks to an interview with one of the voice actors in the game, we might have an identity for who this villain might be.

In an interview with Chris Jai Alex, who voices Rhino in Spider-Man, and Call of Duty YouTuber Drift0r their conversation veered away from the upcoming Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 to Spider-Man PS4. During the interview Alex talked about the challenges of voicing a character during a fight scene and name drops the classic Spidey villain Doctor Octopus.

Drift0r's interview was taken down, possibly because of the Doc Ock name drop, but a copy of that video began spreading like wildfire. Here's a copied video by YouTube user Rick Grimes.

Doctor Octopus' reveal, if true, would be great news for Spider-Man fans eager to face off against one of Spider-Man's most famous villains. As the leader of the Sinister Six he also makes sense for inclusion considering his compatriots like Vulture, Electro, and Rhino are also in the game. Is he the mysterious villain at the end of the Spider-Man E3 2018 trailer? Either way, we're looking forward to Doc Ock's official reveal.
