Nintendo has announced one last Nintendo Direct for Splatoon 2. The Direct will start on July 6 at 7 AM PT / 10AM ET. According to Nintendo of America, the Direct will offer a "re-FRESH-er" on the game, as well as detailing some of Splatoon 2's new features. This is likely the last Nintendo Direct for Splatoon 2 prior to the game's launch on July 21.
We've had a few Nintendo Directs and preview showcases for the game prior to now. Splatoon 2 was shown at the first Nintendo Switch preview event in January, where Nadia took a shot at it. The first Splatoon 2 Global Testfire happened in March, letting players from around the world try out the new competitive experience. Then in April, Nintendo showed off Salmon Run mode, which lets a team of four fight together in a Horde-style combat mode. A month later, Nintendo finally highlighted Splatoon 2's single-player mode for the first time.
Basically, Nintendo has been doing a good job keeping Splatoon 2 on players' minds with an update once a month. We'll see how Splatoon 2 does as the Switch's anchor game for this month.
