When Splatoon 2 launched in Japan and Europe, the game came alongside a new set of Joy-Cons. To fit the bright ink shenanigans of the game, the new set was Neon Pink and Neon Green. Japan and Europe reaped the you of the new Joy-Cons. They did come to the United States, but only as part of the Splatoon 2 Nintendo Switch bundle, which was sold exclusively at Wal-Mart.
Until today, when Nintendo confirmed that they'll be launching separately in United States later this month. A firm release date wasn't given, but this is better than nothing.
The paired set of Joy-Cons costs $79.99, like all of the other colors. There's no indication as to whether Nintendo will sell the individual Neon Pink and Neon Green colors, which normally sell for $49.99. Currently, you can only find them in Gray, so that's doubtful.
It's worth noting that if you bought the Splatoon 2 bundle from Wal-Mart, the seperate Joy-Cons are actually flipped. On the bundle unit, the Joy-Con L is Green and the Joy-Con R is Pink. In the image above, that's reversed. That means you can get an all-Pink or all-Green Switch if you want.
