If you're a fan of PC gaming and the Nintendo Switch Pro controller well I have good news for you. The latest Steam Client Beta has added full support for the Nintendo Pro controller.
If you're opted into the Steam Client beta, a new option for global support for the Switch Pro controller is now available in the controller settings page. There's even an option for "Nintendo Button Layout" which will swap the X/Y and A/B support for that classic Nintendo style.
Most interesting is how the Steam Beta also supports full gyro the controller comes with. Not really sure what you'll need it for, but it's a good to have the full use of the Pro controller even if you don't end up using the gyro.
Steam now supports all the controllers from the three major hardware makers, so if you have a PS4 controller, Xbox One controller, Switch Pro controller, or the classic Xbox 360 controller lying around, you're basically spoiled for choices.
If you're curious about the Switch Pro controller, our Switch review says that the standard Joy-Cons are fine on their own. Unfortunately Steam doesn't support the Joy-Cons just quite yet.
