Story of Seasons' Yoshifumi Hashimoto on Building a Better Farm Sim

Marvelous Entertainment's Head of Development talks about the challenges of splitting off from Harvest Moon for a new take on a familiar franchise.

One of the biggest surprises at this year's E3 came from an unexpected source: Harvest Moon.

While the series has been plugging along, doing its own thing for nearly 20 years, its developer, Marvelous, has decided to go their own way with the series, leaving the Harvest Moon brand in Natsume's hands -- in the United States, anyway. It's all very complicated, so E3 2014, I sat down with Marvelous Entertainment's Yoshifumi Hashimoto to hear just how Story of Seasons can remain relevant in a Harvest Moon world.
