Street Fighter 5: Arcade Edition Introduces Brand New Character, Falke
A new original character joins to the Street Fighter universe.
The next downloadable character for Street Fighter 5: Arcade Edition is Falke and she'll be available in the game on April 24. She will be the third character coming to Street Fighter 5 as part of the season three content.
Falke "the Guardian Hawk" is a brand new character to the Street Fighter universe. She's billed as an "alternative clone" to M. Bison and as such can use Psycho Power like Ed and M. Bison. Capcom says "She was heavily experimented on by Shaadaloo and was forced to train day in, day out to achieve perfection."
Apparently Ed rescued her from her hellish training, hence why the two characters are somewhat related in their story portions.
Falke's fighting style relies on her staff which is also where she can output her Psycho Power. She can use some range powers through her staff, or go in close and beatdown opponents with that same weapon. You can see her in action in the debut trailer above.
Falke's V-Skill is a move called Psycho Trombe and it involves her spinning her staff in front of her for damage. Her V-Trigger is called Staerken and it "powers up her ability to infuse and release Psycho Power from her staff and will allow her to use additional versions of her special moves without needing to charge up in advance."
Falke's V-Trigger II is Psycho Angriff which lets her twirl around her opponent into the air, and follow up with a blast of Psycho Power. Lastly, her Critical Art is Psycho Fluegel and it launches enemies into the air, followed up with Fale pole vaulting up to them to deliver another beatdown.
Falk joins other Season three characters like Sakura and Blanka, who are currently available, or Cody and Sagat who are coming out at a later time. For more you can read our Street Fighter 5: Arcade Edition review which praised the game for finally delivering on the promise of Street Fighter 5.
