Street Fighter 5 Facebook Update Essentially Confirms Helen as Next DLC Character

The kindly lady who revived Charlie Nash is likely going to be the next SF5 character release.

Yesterday, Capcom updated the official Street Fighter Facebook page with an all-new banner. The banner features silhouettes of the upcoming characters for this season and the new update increases the size of the next character. Fans of Street Fighter V will find that silhouette rather familiar, all but confirming that the next SFV DLC character will be Helen.

Who is Helen? She's a character that's currently only featured in Street Fighter V's Cinematic Story mode. She's a woman who revives Charlie Nash and ends up helping him regain his sense of self. In actuality, "Helen" is a cover for Kolin, a schemer who follows Street Fighter III boss Gill.

"The one who found the mysteriously resurrected person Nash in those ancient ruins. A gentle-looking woman who leaves quite an impression; she's always reading an old book she carries with her," reads Helen's Capcom Fighting Network profile (translation via Shoryuken).

Helen as she appears in SFV's story mode.

"She has a very cunning and calculating personality, and she will achieve her objective by any means necessary. She will sometimes deceive her opponents with a friendly tone and her soft, kind voice. She is involved behind-the-scenes with a variety of incidents," reads Kolin's profile.

A recent leak on Reddit points to Helen having ice-based powers. The leak has since been removed, but PVP Live saved it in an image.

Given the use of characters that Capcom already has models for, many speculate that the following character releases in the above silhouettes are Rashid's attendant Azam, Guile's commanding officer Byron Taylor, Shadoloo assassin Satsuki, and potentially, Violent Ken.
