Street Fighter 5 Getting SF3 Costumes and an SF2 Stage As DLC

At an EVO 2016 panel, Capcom has announced nostalgic DLC and downloads that will support the Capcom Pro Tour.

Today at an Evo 2016 panel, Capcom announced a whole set of new DLC for Street Fighter V. First up are a set of nostalgic costumes and a classic stage. The planned stage will be M. Bison's Thailand stage for Street Fighter II, while the costumes will be Ibuki's original outfit from Street Fighter III and Alex's costume from his SF3 ending. The release date for this DLC is unknown at this time.

Capcom also announced the Capcom Pro Tour Premier Package DLC, which is exclusive to PlayStation 4 players. It's already available on the PlayStation Store for $24.99. A portion of the proceeds from sales of this DLC go to the Capcom Pro Tour prize pool, much like Valve releasing special DLC for its The International tournaments.

The CPT Premier Package includes:

  • Chun-Li CPT Costume
  • Cammy CPT Costume
  • Unknown CPT Costume
  • The new Ring of Destiny stage
  • CPT Colors for all 22 characters
  • Two Special Titles

The July update for Street Fighter V was probably the game's biggest one yet. That update added Ibuki and Balrog to the game's roster in addition to the all-new Cinematic Story Mode. The update also included early versions of Urien and Juri, two characters that are planned for release on a later date. Battle Costumes for all released characters were made available for direct purchase at $3.99 a pop.

Street Fighter V will be the headlining game at this weekend's EVO 2016 Championship series.
