Summer Games Done Quick 2017 Lands $466,000 Ahead of Last Year's Total

This year's SGDQ pulled in $1.76 million for Doctors Without Borders.

The organizers of this year's Summer Games Done Quick have announced that the event has raised a total of $1,760,400 for charity. Games Done Quick is an event that takes place twice annually: once as Awesome Games Done Quick and once as Summer Games Done Quick. The specific charity for this year's event was Doctors Without Borders.

The event ran from July 2 to July 9, with some of the best speedrunners from around the world coming together to play games like Super Mario 64, Dark Souls, Superhot, Shovel Knight: Specter of Torment, Pokemon HeartGold/SoulSilver, and more.
