Super Mario Maker 2 Stylus Only Announced for Japan and Europe So Far
But, what about poor ol' North America?
Yesterday Nintendo revealed the release date for Super Mario Maker 2, which is coming out on June 28. Luckily for European and Japanese players, they'll also be able to pre-order a special Super Mario Maker 2 bundle which includes the first official Nintendo Switch stylus.
The Super Mario Maker 2 stylus will be available to anybody pre-orders the game from select retailers. The stylus was first announced for Japan before Nintendo of Europe confirmed that its region will also be getting one as well.
The stylus is particularly useful for Super Mario Maker 2, as players can use it to quickly drag and drop level elements around the touchscreen, without messing things up with their beefy fingers. The Wii U tablet and 3DS came with a stylus, and now the Switch will have an official Mario Maker 2-themed one.

There will also be a bundle that includes Super Mario Maker 2, the stylus, and a 12-month subscription to Nintendo Switch Online. As a bonus, a digital version of the bundle will be available as well that still includes the stylus (which can be redeemed via a My Nintendo code).
Nintendo of America sadly has not announced such a bundle nor a stylus pre-order. Nintendo of Europe fans have complained that they are sometimes left in the dust while North American players reap the benefits of Nintendo's special editions, but it is now us that are left to wallow. Hopefully Nintendo of America will give some word about the stylus soon.
Super Mario Maker 2 allows players to create and design their own Super Mario levels, then share it online with the community. Some truly amazing levels have come out from the first Super Mario Maker, so we're excited to see what Switch players can make with Super Mario Maker 2. Just keep it PG though, okay?
