Super Smash Bros Amiibo for Ridley, Inkling, and Wolf Coming in December
There are new Amiibo and re-releases in our future!
We already knew that Super Smash Bros Ultimate for Nintendo Switch would have support for Nintendo's Amiibo figures. The problem is there are a few characters who had never received an Amiibo, notably Smash series newcomer Ridley and returning Brawl combatant Wolf. Well, Nintendo realized the same problem.
Ridley, Inkling and Wolf are coming to the Super Smash Bros. series of #amiibo! These amiibo will arrive 12/7 and will retail for $15.99. Looking for an original Super Smash Bros. amiibo? Many of these will also be re-released starting later this year and will be $12.99 pic.twitter.com/Pd32ehkuCZ

Nintendo of America announced today that there will be brand-new Amiibo released for Ridley, Wolf, and Inkling. All three will release on December 7 and will retail for $15.99. Inkling has previously had two different Amiibo sets, one for Splatoon and another for Splatoon 2. This new Amiibo is the same model as the Splatoon Amiibo, but in a different pose, similar to the already-announced Smash Bros Daisy Amiibo. It's unknown if that Daisy Amiibo will be coming at the same time.
If you're missing an Amiibo for your Smash Bros favorite, Nintendo will also be re-releasing those figures. The re-released versions will all carry the slightly lower price tag of $12.99 and Nintendo says they'll be coming "starting later this year".
There are still characters in Super Smash Bros Ultimate who don't have any Amiibo presence. Guest character Solid Snake and Pokemon Trainer are among that list. Other missing characters like Pichu and Ice Climbers, already have Amiibo on the way.
Super Smash Bros Ultimate is coming to Nintendo Switch the same day as the new Amiibo releases: December 7, 2018. For more on the title, here's everything we know.
