Tell Me Why's First Chapter Launches in August
With a later launch on Xbox Series X.
Tell Me Why is a story-driven, episodic game from Life is Strange developer Dontnod Entertainment. A new trailer for the game debuted today during Microsoft's Xbox Series X games showcase, and the first episode of the game will be launching August 27.
We got a new look at gameplay elements for Tell Me Why in the new trailer today. It looks like the twins Tyler and Alyson Ronan will be exploring supernatural elements together, possibility to do with their past, all based within Alaska.
As was revealed earlier this year, Tell Me Why stars a transgender man, this being Tyler Ronan. Developer Dontnod has hired a transgender man to voice the role of Tyler, and has previously stated that they're working LGBT+ organization GLAAD to construct the role.
Additionally, Dontnod actually announced release dates for other episodes of Tell Me Why. The second episode will release on September 3, and the third episode will release a week later on September 10. That's a drastically reduced launch window from start to finish for all episodes, compared to Life is Strange 2, which released over 2018/2019.
Right now, Tell Me Why is slated for PC and Xbox One. However the text at the end of the trailer revealed that it'll also be coming to the Xbox Series X, although we obviously don't have a release date for Dontnod's game on the next-gen platform, since there isn't a release date for Microsoft's next-gen console itself right now.
