Telltale's The Walking Dead Collection Offers Visual Improvements Ahead of Final Season

Every episode in the series, all on one disc.

Telltale Games has announced The Walking Dead Collection for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. The Collection will include every episode of Telltale's The Walking Dead, including The Walking Dead: Season One, The Walking Dead Season Two, The Walking Dead: New Frontier, The Walking Dead: 400 Days, and The Walking Dead: Michonne. As Telltale notes in its trailer, that's 19 episodes on a single disc.

The Walking Dead Collection will see visual improvements over the original releases, as detailed in the trailer above. The Collection is coming on December 5, 2017 with a price tag of $49.99.

All of that is a prelude to The Walking Dead: The Final Season, which is planned for release in 2018 on PC, iOS, Android, and other major consoles. Switch is not confirmed at the moment, though Telltale has recently released the first season of Minecraft: Story Mode on the platform. Star Wars: Rogue One screenwriter Gary Whitta will be coming back to Telltale's writers room for the final installment as a story consultant.

"Collaborating with Telltale on the first season of Clementine's journey through the world of The Walking Dead was one of the highlights of my career, so reuniting with them to now bring her story to a close with this final season feels like a homecoming," said Whitta. "Clementine has become not just one of the most compelling characters in the Walking Dead pantheon but one of the great video game characters of all time. I hope we're able to do justice to her and to her millions of fans. This one feels special."
