Tetris Effect Gets a Demo Next Week, Psychedelics Not Included
An early trip.
Tetris Effect is just a few weeks away but in a surprise announcement it seems like a limited-time demo will hit the PS4 just before the official launch.
Enhance Games' Mark MacDonald appeared on the Game Informer podcast and revealed that a free Tetris Effect demo will come out on November 1, a couple days before the official November 5 launch date. However, the demo will only be available for a limited time and leave the store when Tetris Effect launches for real four days later.
The demo will be available in both standard and VR, so if you have a PSVR headset you'll be able to get the full experience of Tetris Effect before committing to buy it.
Tetris Effect is the upcoming PS4 and PSVR game coming from Rez and Lumines director Tetsuya Mizuguchi. While it looks like a trippy version of Tetris, it leverages Mizuguchi's interests in rhythm puzzles and VR. We awarded Tetris Effect one of our Best of E3 awards this year and are looking forward to the full game in a few weeks.
