Like its predecessors, Pikmin 3 puts you in command of tiny beings on an "alien" planet that looks suspiciously familiar. When you point the little plant-based beings at an object, they scurry into action and perform all kinds of heavy lifting and foraging. Why? Because they love you.
Pikmin's core gameplay is deeply satisfying on its own; there's something therapeutic about taking command of your very own tiny army. But Pikmin 3 is especially noteworthy because of its crisp visuals that turn regular backyards into teeming jungles. If there's any series that benefits from high-definition graphics, its Pikmin.
