Sunset Overdrive
Insomniac Games' Sunset Overdrive can be regarded as something of a cautionary tale: The blistering pace we maintain in our day-to-day lives sometimes causes us to seek sources of energy that don't require us to waste time on sleep. As a consequence, we may consume things we probably shouldn't.
Sunset Overdrive is essentially a zombie apocalypse game, but it's like no other zombie apocalypse game out there. Its colors are riotous and its parkour-heavy combat moves with the speed of a spooked centipede. Its "in-yo-face" attitude might give some players a shuddering '90s flashback, but it's safe to say there's no other shooter quite like it on the market right now.
