The Apex Legends Community Debate What the UFO Could Contain

Images that precede legendary events.

Earlier this week, Apex Legends players noticed a mysterious light hovering high above the World's End map. This UFO has got players speculating: What could the mysterious object contain?

Part of the reason that there's so much speculation about the UFO is that Apex Legends players are expecting a teaser for the inevitable Season 4. We're currently on Season 3: Meltdown, which introduced Crypto and the World's End map late in 2019, so it's only natural for players to constantly be on the lookout for teases for the next seasonal event.

But what could the UFO contain? One theory is that the object contains the next Legend set to be revealed for Respawn's game. The name "Revenant" has appeared several times in the files of Apex Legends, and players have been speculating for a good month now that this is the next playable character set to be introduced to the game alongside the next seasonal event.

One pipe dream has one of the Titanfall Pilots in the UFO. The Pilots were elite warriors in the Titanfall games, the universe that Apex Legends is based off, piloting giant mechs called Titans.

Keep in mind that in the months after Apex Legends first launched, Respawn directly addressed speculation that Titans would turn up in the battle royale game eventually. In an interview with Game Informer, Respawn producer Drew McCoy stated that "We prototyped it for like nine months during development, and we couldn't get it to work well." So a huge mech turning up in World's End isn't looking likely.

Or... it's Goku. Actually scratch that, it's definitely Goku.

Apex Legends' Grand Soiree event is still running, introducing new game modes every 48 hours. Third-Person Mode was available over the weekend, and now Always Be Closing, a mode where the ring of death never stops closing in, is in the rotation.
