The Crew 2 is Giving Away Major Post-launch Content for Free

A season pass will also be available.

Ubisoft outlined its plans for The Crew 2's post-launch season pass, but if you're not into the idea of buying yet another season pass for a game Ubisoft will actually be supporting The Crew 2 through free updates.

The Crew 2 will get free updates every three months after the game launches, and it will include new disciplines, modes, and modes. The first free content is something called "Gator Rush" and will be available in September.

The major update will let players master the art of hovercrafts and presumably let them race those around the swamps of The Crew 2-land. And of course, there will be five new vehicles and a "Legendary" rarity for performance parts that players will be able to collect.

The second major free update in December will introduce a brand new PvP mode as well, but Ubisoft is keeping quiet about it for now.

So with continuous free updates planned until 2019 what does the Season Pass get you? Well for $39.99, or the Gold and Motor Editions of the game, players will receive three exclusive vehicles on day one (Porcshe 911 Turbo 3.6, the Submarine Spitfire MK IX, and the Ice Marine Bladerunner 35), seven days early access to to the monthly added vehicles, one exclusive house location and two exclusive outfits, and a VIP 20 percent discount in the game store.

Either way it sounds like even without the Season Pass The Crew 2 players will be getting a good deal and loads of content post-launch.

We recently previewed The Crew 2 and lamented the game's costal elitism (the driving was fine). The Crew 2 is out on June 29 for PS4, Xbox One, and PC. You can check out our The Crew 2 guide for a full breakdown of the game.
