The Division 2 Beats Out Sekiro and Devil May Cry 5 as March's Top Selling Game

Ubisoft wins a stacked March 2019 release month.

The video game sales results for March 2019 are out courtesy of the NPD Group. The month saw several high-profile releases from major studios, but Ubisoft came away with the crown for The Division 2.

March was a really good month for video games this year. Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice from FromSoftware, Devil May Cry 5 from Capcom, MLB The Show 19 from Sony San Diego, and The Division 2 from Ubisoft Massive all came out that month. All four games were at the top of March's best-sellers list too, but it was ultimately Ubisoft's newest live-service Tom Clancy shooter that came out on top.

Sekiro took second place followed by MLB The Show 19, and lastly Devil May Cry 5. Although Devil May Cry 5 trailed the pack, it still managed to sell two million copies in two weeks, and was the second best-selling launch game in the series following Devil May Cry 4 in 2008.

Meanwhile, The Division 2 became the sixth highest selling launch game in Ubisoft's history, MLB The Show 19 became the best-selling launch game in the series, and Sekiro the second best launch game for a FromSoftware title after Dark Souls 3.

Here is the full list of best-selling video games for the month of March 2019.
