The Fortnite Cube Has Turned Loot Lake Into a Shiny Trampoline as Season 6 Approaches

The Fortnite Cube Has Turned Loot Lake Into a Shiny Trampoline as Season 6 Approaches

Something wicked this way comes.

Just yesterday, we reported that Fortnite's purple cube was on the move towards Loot Lake. The big mysterious cube has now reached the Lake, its apparent destination, and it's made a pretty big change to the water.

Just below, you can see a short cinematic of the purple cube hitting Loot Lake, as chronicled by LootLakeBR on Twitter. Nothing really happens at first as the cube hits the water, as it seems to slowly dissolve into the lake.

But now, when you visit Loot Lake in Fortnite Battle Royale, you'll discover that the entire lake has turned into a bouncy surface. Sure, it still looks like Loot Lake, but if you step on the water, you'll find that you can spring high up into the air (where someone will probably snipe you).

We've still got no official word on Season 6 of Fortnite Battle Royale, but all signs point towards the cube playing some role in the next seasonal event. For everything else you need to know about the event slated to start next week, head over to our Fortnite Season 6 guide.

He's written for The Guardian, Paste Magazine, and Kotaku, and he likes waking up when the sun rises and roaming the nearby woods with the bears and the wolves.
