We knew that a special Fortnite event to mark the release of Avengers: Endgame would be coming later this week, and now we have one new detail. Thor's Stormbreaker, wielded by the character during the latter half of Infinity War, will be featured in the event.
Below, you can see the tweet from the official Fortnite Twitter account which revealed Stormbreaker. The weapon sure would work perfectly as a brand new pickaxe, or alternatively a melee weapon, similar to how the Infinity Gauntlet functioned as a giant fist during last year's Fortnite event for Avengers: Infinity War. Just be careful about clicking the tweet! Endgame has now been screened for the first time, so there's a very good chance that you could see spoilers for the movie underneath the main tweet.
Other than Stormbreaker being featured in the event, we know relatively little else about the crossover. The event in Fortnite will kick off on April 25, the same day that Avengers: Endgame releases in cinemas (at least in the UK, it's a day later in the US). We also know that Captain America's shield will be featured in the event, from a tweet earlier in the week.
We don't yet know whether the mode with Thanos will return to Fortnite. Back in 2018, to mark the release of Avengers: Infinity War, there was a special mode featuring the Infinity Gauntlet, and the player that picked up the Gauntlet would become Thanos, at least until they were killed and the Gauntlet could be picked up by another player.
