The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild Wins Big At The Game Awards 2017

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild Wins Big At The Game Awards 2017

Cuphead and Hellblade also took home a few awards each.

The Game Awards 2017 went off without a hitch. Some laughed. Some cried. There were snubs. There were sweeps. Once again it was the MTV Movie Awards, not the Oscars, of the video game industry.

As expected, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild took home the most Game Award trophies tonight, overshadowing poor fellow Nintendo game Super Mario Odyssey and many others. You can find all the winners below in bold, except for Best Multiplayer Game, which The Game Awards seemingly forgot about completely. (We will update this list when they are included in the awards, whoever the winner may be. Meanwhile another multiplayer game, Overwatch, won Best Ongoing Game and Best Esports Game this year.)

Edit: The Game Awards Host Geoff Keighley confirmed that PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds took home this year's Best Multiplayer Award, and apologized for the lack of announcing the award.
