The Hectic Shipment Map Returns to Call of Duty: Modern Warfare

Coming as part of the "biggest content drop" in the history of Call of Duty.

12 years. 12 long years it's been since I played the Shipment map on the original Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare. The close quarters map became infamous for its insanely quick combat loops, where you could feasibly spawn in the line of sight of another player, especially if you were playing on free-for-all.

Shipment will be introduced as part of the first "season" of free content for Modern Warfare, which kicks off on December 3. It's not yet clear if Shipment will be available on that date, but you can expect a whole lot of close quarters SMG and shotgun action when it eventually does come back into the fold.

Elsewhere in this new content drop for Modern Warfare, there's three new multiplayer modes: Gunfight, Reinforce, and Infected. There's a new SMG and a marksman rifle, but Special Ops players on PS4 will also get access to five new maps.

Rounding out the content drop, there's a new Ground War map, for the mode which features two gigantic teams of 64 players battling it out. Crash and Vacant are two additional multiplayer maps arriving alongside Shipment, and the 2v2 Gunfight mode will be getting at least three brand new maps.
