The Last Guardian Pushed Back Again… Until December 6

Fumito Ueda's long-in-development adventure seemingly had one more delay left in it.

We've been waiting seven years for The Last Guardian to be released, so what's a few more months? In a post on the official PlayStation blog, Sony Computer Entertainment Worldwide Studios president Shuhei Yoshida announced that The Last Guardian will not be coming out on October 25, 2016, as previously announced. Instead, the game will now be coming to North America and Europe on December 6, 2016.

Soon.

"Fumito Ueda and Japan Studio have a wonderful vision for The Last Guardian's touching, emotional journey of friendship and trust, and we want to deliver the most polished experience possible for our fans who have supported us for so long," wrote Yoshida.

"A delay is a difficult decision, particularly with this game, but we have encountered more bugs than anticipated while in the final stages of development. To ensure that The Last Guardian delivers on the experience that the game's creators have envisioned, we need to take the extra time to work on those issues. Our development continues to push itself to the fullest and we look forward to revealing new content toward launch."

Nothing more needs to be said really. Hopefully Ueda and team use the time to give The Last Guardian the polish it deserves.

Third-person action-adventure games are his personal poison: Uncharted, Infamous, and Assassin's Creed just to name a few. If you see him around a convention, he's not hard to spot: Black guy, glasses, and a tie.
