Next year, the Rainbow operatives are taking on the horde. Ubisoft announced the next game in the Rainbow Six series, a tactical three-player co-op game called Quarantine, is coming next year.
In a trailer, one character was trapped in a darkened building, watching shadows run by as an infection slowly overcame the veins in his wrist. Two Rainbow operatives find him and help him up, only for the screen to go dark as monstrous screams ring out in the background. Could it be zombies?
Quarantine will be a squad-based tactical shooter for three players, and there are a lot of familiarities between it and Siege. Lead game designer Bio Jade Adam Granger took to the stage to say it will be built on the foundation laid by Rainbow Six Siege.
"What Siege is to the PvP shooter genre, we will be to PvE co-op," says Granger.
Operators like Ela and Vigil will also make an appearance, meaning Siege operatives are on the table for Quarantine. However, Ubisoft says they might not necessarily operate in the exact same way as they did in Siege.
We'll likely learn more as we approach the end of the year. Keep up to date with all the goings-on at this year's event with our guide to E3 2019.
