The Witcher 2 in 4K on Xbox One X Looks Like it Might be Happening

If you love The Witcher 3, here's your incentive to go back in time.

The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings might be next in line to take advantage of the Xbox One X's enhancement capabilities. The Xbox One subreddit is abuzz with conversation from redditors who espied messages about Geralt's 2012 adventure receiving an upgrade.

One redditor, SamFoote took a picture of the notice on the Xbox One's online store. Sure enough, the banner for The Witcher series declares, "Play Witcher 2 enhanced for Xbox One X." SamFoote writes, "Saw this ad on the dash, this was after I clicked through. It said something like 'the Witcher series - the Witcher 2 is now enhanced for Xbox one x.'"

Other redditors confirmed the message was present on their own iterations of the Xbox Marketplace, including the Italian store.

A horse's ass isn't a horse's ass unless it's in glorious 4K.

The Xbox One redditors are happy about a potential upgrade for The Witcher 2. Some just entered the series with The Witcher 3, and they're eager to explore Geralt's roots. A nice visual enhancement on a modern console offers a good excuse to go back and take a look-see.

The Witcher 3's already been enhanced for Xbox One X, so if the upgrade for The Witcher 2 does indeed happen, the two games can look dapper together.
