The Witcher 3: Axe of the Blood God Revisits a New Classic

AXE OF THE BLOOD GOD | We add Witcher 3 to our Top 25 RPG countdown!

When Witcher 3 came out close to four years ago, no one could have predicted the impact it would have. But as the Top 25 RPG Countdown nears its conclusion, its time to acknowledge its status as a modern classic [download link here].

What's especially interesting about this discussion is that Axe of the Blood God covered Witcher 3 when it first came out, so it's possible to go back and see what we thought at the time. I'll admit that I was originally a little skeptical of its combat, but over time I've come to appreciate its high-quality writing, quest design, and open world. Listen as Caty and I talk about the best RPG of the generation.

And don't worry, Nadia is in this one too. As usual we talk about this week's RPG news, including the scandal that has engulfed Judgment, and our recent interview with the developers of Fire Emblem Heroes.
