The Witcher is due to launch on Netflix next month, right before Christmas. With around a month to go until launch, the show's Twitter account today revealed the titles of all 8 episodes for the debut season.
You can see the full list of episode titles for The Witcher in the tweet thread below. The second episode, which the Twitter account teases will have "a look at a sorceress' early days" could easily refer to Yennefer, who will be portrayed in the series by Anya Chalotra.
Did someone, somewhere, summon a djinn to then wish for all 8 chapter titles? Here you go. Now does anyone know a doctor to check Jaskier's vitals? A monster slain, a butcher named pic.twitter.com/PcXF1aeGSz— The Witcher (@witchernetflix) November 22, 2019
Episode four sounds like a Ciri-centric tale. "The Law of Surprise is how one repays," writes the Twitter account in reference to the fourth episode of the series. For those unfamiliar with the Law of Surprise, it's a method that Witchers can demand to be paid in for their services. This is how Ciri came to be Geralt's ward, when The Witcher invoked the Law of Surprise on a person that he saved from death and they then gifted him their child Ciri. It's a pretty complicated affair.
The teaser for the fifth episode, "a fateful meeting, a bard maimed," could easily refer to Dandelion, the musical companion and longtime friend of Geralt, who appears in The Witcher 3.
The Witcher launches on Netflix with all eight episodes on December 20. Recently, Netflix announced that the show had been renewed for a second season, although no further details on the second season have been revealed right now.
