The Wolf Among Us 2 Delayed Until 2019

The long-awaited sequel is just a little further off now.

Telltale Games announced that The Wolf Among Us 2 is now delayed to 2019 and will not be coming out in the latter half of 2018 like originally planned.

Telltale explains that the delay "comes as a result of a few fundamental changes here at Telltale since we first announced the game last summer."

It's unclear if these fundamental changes have to do with the massive company restructuring that resulted in layoffs at the company. Or perhaps it has something to do with the hinted at new engine Telltale is working with.

"Ultimately our goal is to deliver an experience deserving of the passion you've consistently shown for The Wolf Among Us, and these extra months will give us the time we need to do our best work," says Telltale.

The Wolf Among Us is based on Bill Willingham's Fables comic book series from DC Vertigo where characters from fairy tales like Sleeping Beauty or Little Red Riding Hood are real people trying to live normal lives in a hidden burrow of New York City.

After some weird mixed signals, Telltale confirmed The Wolf Among Us 2 last year, even though they previously said the game wasn't in the works.

Telltale says they appreciate players' patience and will have more news for them later in the year.
