The last few Telltale Games titles will be pulled from GOG's digital store next Monday, May 27. After the studio's closure last year, the few remaining games still under the Telltale Games license will leave GOG's store, without much hope for a return.
The games, as listed in GOG's announcement, are:
- The Wolf Among Us
- Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy
- Hector: Badge of Carnage
- The Batman series
- The Sam & Max series
- The Puzzle Agent series
- Tales from the Borderlands
- Strong Bad's Cool Game for Attractive People
GOG says that everyone who purchased any of these games prior to their delisting will still have them in their library. But on May 27, they will all be delisted and unavailable for purchase, due to the company's closure.
Telltale Games closed the majority of its studio last September amid financial woes. Many employees were let go without severance pay, leading to a class-action lawsuit over violation of labor laws. Whereas a skeleton crew was going to be held on for a while to close out the last of the company's obligations, that team was eventually laid off as well. Skybound eventually stepped in to finish the final season of The Walking Dead, which was halted in the wake of this news. But in the time since, the majority of Telltale's games have been delisted from digital storefronts, with GOG the latest.
