The demo for Yakuza 6 dropped at the end of February, then it was quickly forced to take a big nap when people discovered they could bypass the demo's end point and access the full game. It seems Sega finished sorting out what needs sorting out, and the Yakuza 6 demo is coming back sometime this week.
The official Yakuza Twitter account dropped the good news over the weekend. It also assured people their demo saves will still carry over to the full game.
#Yakuza6 Demo Update: Thank you everyone for being patient while we get this demo back up. It will be re-released early next week! As before, saves will carry over to the full game when it releases on April 17. pic.twitter.com/H7VGiwixsO— Yakuza Game (@yakuzagame) March 18, 2018
The Yakuza 6 demo snafu is another diary entry in Sega's history of accidental game leaks. All's well that ends well, right? Now read our review of Yakuza 6 and get hyped for the full game when it arrives on April 17. Then get even more hyped for Yakuza Kiwami 2 when it comes out later this year. Seems we don't have to say goodbye to Kiryu just yet after all. For help with the game, check out our Yakuza 6 guide.
