Sirfetch'd might be the new kid/Pokemon on the block, but that doesn't mean Game Freak is done with announcements. Next week, there'll be a Pokemon Sword and Shield presentation of sorts, and researcher Sonia is asking for our help.
Next week on Friday, October 4, starting at 6 a.m. PDT/9 a.m. EST, Sonia will be introducing a brand new area of the Galar region: Glimwood Tangle. The mushrooms in the teaser image below certainly look luminous. Could we be getting a look at some brand new Pokemon in the Galar region?
Sonia needs your help, Trainers!— Pokémon (@Pokemon) September 27, 2019
Next week, she'll be setting up a live camera and conducting some Pokémon observation research in Glimwood Tangle, a strange forest area in the Galar region.

Sonia, for those unfamiliar, is a researcher in Pokemon Sword and Shield. You can see her just below, and she's the daughter of Professor Magnolia, the chief Pokemon researcher in both Sword and Shield.
In recent Pokemon news, the reveal of Sirfetch'd set the world alight last week. Farfetch'd finally got an evolution in this new Pokemon, who is actually exclusive to Pokemon Sword, and they're supposedly the only Pokemon capable of learning the 'Meteor Assault' move.
Pokemon Sword and Shield both release exclusively for the Nintendo Switch on November 15. Alternatively, you can check out our Pokemon Sword and Shield new Pokemon guide for a list of every confirmed creature for both games.
