There's a Resident Evil 2 Mod That Removes Mr. X

X will not be giving it to you.

If you’re tired of getting chased around Resident Evil 2's Raccoon City police station by a certain monster sent from the Umbrella Corporation, then we have good news for you. There’s now a mod available for the PC version of Resident Evil 2 which entirely removes Mr. X.

Head over to the mod page on Nexus Mods to download the mod for Capcom’s remake. The ‘X no more’ mod for Resident Evil 2 was actually created earlier today on March 11, according to the listing on Nexus Mods.

Delving further into the mod, it doesn’t prevent scripted events from happening during Resident Evil 2. This means the helicopter will still be lifted up as it did in the original version of the game. This will now happen without the hulking beast roaming the halls of the Raccoon City police station, walking very aggressively towards Leon and Claire.

In other Resident Evil 2-related news, the game recently surpassed four million total units shipped worldwide, at the end of February. It’s certainly a game that’s deserving of all the praise, reinventing a classic from 1998 while putting a few new twists on the classic formula.
