There's a Secret Base on Fortnite's Spawn Island

The 'Top Secret' season lives up to its name.

Fortnite's second season of Chapter 2 might have only launched yesterday, but players are already discovering new secrets buried within the game. One particular novelty can be found on the island that all players spawn on before the game actually kicks off.

If you follow the FortniteBR subreddit post below, you can easily find the secret base for yourself. At the base of the sole watchtower on the island, open the vent, and drop down a small shaft. At the bottom of this shaft, you'll find the small secret base.

Fortnite's second season of Chapter 2 introduced the 'Top Secret' theme. It's a theme that revolves around secret agents, as Peely the banana and other characters don James Bond-esque suits and take to the battle royale island.

The secret base on spawn island definitely gels with this overarching theme. Don't forget, it's not the only secret base to be implemented in the game, as you can now find a few literal bases around the regular portion of the Fortnite map, each containing NPC Henchmen that will open fire on you if they spot you.

Fortnite's Chapter 2, Season 2 has only just kicked off, and as always it's got a brand new Battle Pass to boot. You can see the Battle Pass trailer above, giving you a look at some of the new skins and other cosmetics you can earn through the pass. If you purchase the pass, there's also a certain Marvel superhero hiding out within the game's menu systems.
