Those Animal Crossing Joy-Cons for the Switch Might be Sold Separately

I can hear my wallet screaming.

Earlier today, everyone collectively lost their minds over a Nintendo Switch, and for good reason. Nintendo unveiled the new Animal Crossing: New Horizons-themed Nintendo Switch, complete with a stylish dock and new Joy-Cons.

Turns out those Joy-Cons might be available to purchase separately from the main console bundle. According to the Japanese Nintendo Store, you might be able to purchase the cute Joy-Cons from the bundle on their own. While the Joy-Cons haven't been confirmed for a western release right now by Nintendo, it's hard not to imagine them making their way over here.

If you don't want to feel completely left out, but still want those super cute new Joy-Cons, this is the perfect solution. Unless you just happen to have $300 to drop on the complete package, in which case lucky you (*glares*).

That's not all for New Horizons-themed Switch gear. Releasing just a week before the actual game on March 13, there's a new Animal Crossing-themed Switch carry case. There's two variants here: one for the base Nintendo Switch, and one for the Nintendo Switch Lite, both retailing for $24.99.

Animal Crossing: New Horizons releases on March 20, 2020, the same day as Doom Eternal of all things. If you're itching for something Animal Crossing-related right now, Nintendo has a New Horizons birthday calendar available to print now, so you can celebrate every Animal Crossing character's birthday all year long.
