THQ Nordic Picks Up Two More Studios, Is Currently Developing a Crazy Number of Games
It's...a lot.
THQ Nordic is more like a phoenix and the company announced two more studio acquisitions after filing for bankruptcy six years ago.
In its latest quarterly report THQ Nordic announced that it picked up Wreckfest studio Bugbear Interactive and Goat Simulator developer Coffee Stain Studios. These join a growing portfolio of companies that include Deep Silver, Black Forest Games, HandyGames, and more.
THQ filed for bankruptcy six years ago and sold off several franchises. Now it's gotten those and more back having picked up series like Timesplitters, Kingdoms of Amalur, Darksiders, and more. According to THQ it has a whopping 35 games in-development right now.
While THQ Nordic is currently gearing up for the launch of Darksiders 3 in just a couple of weeks no doubt there are some projects like Homefront, Saints Row, Timesplitters, and many more in the works under the THQ umbrella. Whether they'll be any good of not given the track records of some of those games remains to be seen.
Darksiders 3 is coming out on November 27 for PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
