Nihon Falcom's The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel series has enjoyed quite a bit of success in the west, so new and old fans alike will be happy to learn the PlayStation 4 localization for Trails of Cold Steel 4 has a release date set in stone. Look forward to Class VII's final stand on October 27. Furthermore, Trails of Cold Steel 4 is coming to the PC and Nintendo Switch sometime in 2021.
Nihon Falcom announced the localization news earlier during the New Game+ Expo, alongside announcements from both itself and other publishers. Several major Japanese saw Western localizations confirmed throughout the course of the stream.
It's good that we won't have to wait too long for Trails of Cold Steel 4's localization, since fans were left on the edge of their seats at the end of Trails of Cold Steel 3. Series protagonist Rean Schwarzer is in big trouble, and it's clearly going to take the combined might of the new and old Class VII to save their friend and mentor. (Not to mention the world.)
Nihon Falcom released a localized story trailer for Trails of Cold Steel 4 last May, proving the game's localization is already far along.
Trails of Cold Steel 3, which was localized and released in October 2019, is a huge RPG that maintains the high quality of storytelling and character development that Trails of Cold Steel fans love about the series. Trails of Cold Steel 4 is the last chapter in Class VII's saga, though it's surely not the last of the decades-old Legend of Heroes series.
