The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel, Trails in the Sky the 3rd Releasing on PC This Summer

XSEED Games is bringing more of the Trails series to PC this summer, and beyond.

The last time The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel was out and about, it was resigned to Playstation 3s and Playstation Vitas back in 2015. But this summer, the game will see a new, updated release onto Windows PCs. The updated edition won’t merely be a simple port, as it contains 5,000 new lines of voiceover dialogue (approximately a 50 percent increase from before).

Trails of Cold Steel isn’t the only game in the series now heading to PCs. XSEED Games has announced that Trails in the Sky the 3rd, the final arc in the Trails in the Sky series, will be released on May 3rd (fitting) on PC. In the future, XSEED said in a press release that Trails of Cold Steel II is also planned for an eventual PC port.

The Trails in the Sky trilogy came out over a decade ago in Japan, and has slowly seen localization in the West in recent years. It began with the first Trails in the Sky in 2011 (the original game published in 2004). The Trails of Cold Steel trilogy arc has seen localized releases in quicker succession from its predecessors, its first release in the west arriving only two years after its release in Japan.

Below, in a video published by Gematsu, you can see a comparison of the PC and PS3 versions of Trails of Cold Steel in action.
