This week on Twitch, we're going to be building large spaceships and blowing them up in Homeworld Remastered Collection, the updated release of Relic's classic space strategy game and its sequel. It'll be like Battlestar Galactica, but with more explosions and fewer attempts to shoehorn in religious iconography.Watch live video from usgamernet on www.twitch.tv
Homeworld Remastered Collection marks the return of the much-loved series after a decade-long absence. First released in 1999, Homeworld made its mark with its then-revolutionary use of 3D space and its distinctive space battles. Relic released a sequel a few years later, after which there was a long absence marked by the uncertain status of the IP.
In my stream, I'll be playing through some of the first Homeworld's campaign on max settings, analyzing its approach to strategy, and comparing it to Sins of a Solar Empire. And if you're very lucky, you might get to hear me rant about Battlestar Galactica.
USgamer takes to Twitch to stream games both new and old every Tuesday and Thursday (and in this case, Friday). If you like our streams, subscribe to our channel! You can also watch archived streams on our Youtube channel.
On Thursday, our fearless leader Jeremy Parish will return to resume our retro streams. Please look forward to it.
