Twitch Prime's Free Games for April Include Cult Hits Like SteamWorld Dig 2 and Tokyo 42

More free games for players who love subscription plans.

Twitch is gearing up its own offering of free games for subscribers to its premium Twitch Prime members with five free games.

This month, Twitch Prime members can redeem a copy of SteamWorld Dig 2, Tales from the Borderlands, Tokyo 42, Kingsway, and DubWars for PC. While they're not quite as Triple-A as some of the games offered by PlayStation or Xbox, Twitch Prime's free games are beloved cult hits.

Tales from the Borderlands, SteamWorld Dig 2, and Tokyo 42 in particular are some of the stronger titles I see personally in this month's lineup of Twitch Prime games. After all, we named Tales from the Borderlands our favorite Telltale game, and our Tokyo 42 review is equally glowing.

The free games are offered on top of the free content Twitch Prime already gives its subscribers. For instance, Twitch Prime members can redeem free Fortnite Battle Royale loot during special, limited-time events.

If you're already a member of Amazon Prime, you actually get a free Twitch Prime subscription. Just link your Amazon and Twitch accounts together and you can access the free gaming content offered through Twitch. Just click the crown icon on the top right of Twitch's home page for the free games.

Sometimes we include links to online retail stores. If you click on one and make a purchase we may receive a small commission. See our terms & conditions.
