Twelve Minutes, the time-looping adventure from developer Luis Antonio and published by Annapurna Interactive, is coming soon. Today it confirmed some of the voice cast behind its loops, with a surprisingly star-studded cast of actors backing the indie game.
James McAvoy, Daisy Ridley, and Willem Dafoe will lend their voiceover talents to the mystery of Twelve Minutes. Revealed during today's Gamescom Opening Night Live, Dafoe actually narrates the latest trailer for the game, which was kind of wild to get without warning. It's like slowly discovering your anonymously narrated audiobook is being voiced by the Green Goblin. Honestly, it's nice to see him back in games after the uh, "experience" of Beyond: Two Souls.
Twelve Minutes has been in development for quite some time. A Groundhog Day-style time loop that evolves as you learn to change and adapt to what happens in it, Twelve Minutes has certainly stayed front of mind every time we've seen it in the past.
With incredible time-loop stories like Outer Wilds setting a high bar, it'll be interesting to see how Twelve Minutes stacks up after all this time. It's still coming soon with an undefined launch date, though Annapurna has confirmed that it will be coming to Xbox Series X as well as Xbox One and Steam.
