Ubisoft's Skull and Bones Delivers Brutal Ship-to-Ship Combat in Fall 2018
Become pirate king.
Ubisoft really did change the game when the company practically perfected ship-to-ship combat in Assassin's Creed Black Flag. Now the company has taken that gameplay finesse and built an entirely new IP. Titled, Skull and Bones, Ubisoft's new pirate game is basically a fully-fleshed version of Black Flag's pirate ship combat.
Skull and Bones takes place in a "shared systemic world" that allows for both solo play, and competitive co-op where ships can team up and form a pirate gang. The goal is to become the best ship during a competitive season, to become the head of the pirate mafia.
Ubisoft demoed Skull and Bones' competitive ship-to-ship combat mode called Loot Hunt where rival pirate gangs engage with each other to gather the most "loot" or capture points, but also try and destroy each other in the process. Ships can be customized with a variety of different cannons or ship attachments like a plow so you can ram into enemy ships and break them apart.
Find the One Piece- er, become pirate king in Skull and Bones when the game hits consoles in Fall 2018.
