Uncharted 4: Chapter 1 - The Lure of Adventure

Complete Uncharted 4: The Lure of Adventure.

This article will show players how to beat Chapter 1, titled Uncharted 4: The Lure of Adventure, including how to sneak past Sister Catherine and Father Duffy.

After climbing out of the window to continue Uncharted 4, move forward and turn to your right. You’ll see a slanted roof that is too steep to walk up, so climb the nearby metal box and wall. Hop over the wall and move to the far end, returning to the side you originally started on, but bypassing the steep roof. As you continue along you’ll find some open windows on your right. Climb through a window and poke around the room a bit if you’d like.

Move from cover to cover when Sister Catherine turns her head away from a young Nathan Drake.

Exit the room and turn to your left, moving forward and obeying the instructions to take cover beside the doorway. As soon as Sister Catherine and Father Duffy turn their backs, move up and duck behind the nearby desk. When their conversation ends, Sister Catherine will head into a nearby room. Follow her in and seek cover behind the shelves close to the door.

This is probably the trickiest part of The Lure of Adventure. Wait for Sister Catherine to stand by the window for a cigarette. You’ll want to sneak counter-clockwise around the room. Move from cover to cover when she turns her head. As soon as you get to the sofa that sits directly in line with her she’ll be pulled away on other business. Use this opportunity to climb out of the window that’s directly in front of you.

Exit the building and shimmy along the wall, rounding the corner to the left. Run and jump to the nearby square roof, then climb up the wall and move to your right. You’ll find a pipe you can climb to get onto another roof. Do so, grabbing the flashlight and backpack that Sam has left for you. This will trigger a short cut scene, then it’s on to the parkour portion of The Lure of Adventure.

The remaining game play of Chapter 1 is essentially a tutorial that will help players to get familiar with the way movement works. Rather than read our instructions on where to go, it’s easier if you just follow Sam as he scales buildings and runs across rooftops. He’ll never get too far ahead of you, so even if young Nathan Drake gets stuck for a moment, the path forward is easily identified.

Once Nathan and Sam get outside the walls, a chapter ending cut scene will take you the rest of the way. Feel free to return to our Uncharted 4 Walkthrough for a full list of the chapters, or head directly from The Lure of Adventure to Uncharted 4: Chapter 2 - Infernal Place.
