Unravel 2 Announced, Out Now

Yarny is back with a bud.

Yarny is back. Today at EA's E3 event, the company announced Unravel 2 alongside developers Coldwood. What's more, Unravel 2 is available today.

Unravel 2 is a sequel to 2015's Unravel where players took control of Yarny an adorable hero made of yarn. Now there are two Yarnys and players must work together either in solo or co-op play to overcome the forces of nature that wants to "unravel" these woolen heroes. You can check out the trailer below.

Unravel 2 will feature drop-in/drop-out co-op. There's also single-player mode if you prefer. The two Yarnys combine their powers and work together to solve various environmental puzzles and obstacles.

"Unravel Two is about the new bonds that form when we cut ties to the past," says Coldwood creative director Martin Sahlin. "Like Unravel, it is a deeply personal game for the studio and our passion and life experiences are intertwined in the fabric of the journey players and their Yarnys will embark on."

Unravel 2 is available right now for $19.99 on PS4, Xbox One, and PC through EA Access and Origin Acess. For more from EA's E3 press conference see our E3 2018 news hub.

Correction: An earlier version of this story stated Unravel 2 had online co-op. It is local co-op only and the story has been amended to reflect this.
