It may be the summer before a new console generation, but new games are on their way from across the industry. This weekend, we're streaming as part of BitSummit Gaiden to feature some games you might not have heard of just yet, but we think should be on your radar.
BitSummit Gaiden is a digital festival, put on this year by the crew behind Japanese independent developer festival BitSummit. The event was launched as a way to keep the indie spirit and connections alive, even while the outbreak of COVID-19 has put a damper on attending big gaming events in person. Even with social distancing and stay-at-home practices in place, events like BitSummit Gaiden are trying to keep the convention spirit alive.
We'll be hosting it live on the USgamer Twitch channel, and we'll also be hosted by the BitSummit channel as well. Our blocks will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. PT, both Saturday, June 27 and Sunday, June 28.
What games do we have lined up? There are a host of demos we'll be playing live from a long list of talented indie developers, but here's just a few that have caught our eye:
- A Space For The Unbound
- Fight Crab
- Haunted Garage
- Lightdread City
We hope you'll join us, hang out, and discover some indie games together. Meanwhile, if you haven't yet, be sure to tune in to our weekly Friday streams as well—just today, we streamed some Valorant with the fine folks over at Fanbyte. It went swimmingly, and by that, I mean that despite the score, I still hit some decent shots.
