USgamer Stream: The Messenger [Done!]
This is just a side story about some ninjas and demons.
Welcome to USgamer Stream, where I or someone on the team plays a brand-new game for your enjoyment and edification. Last week, we had fun tackling the platforming prowess of Guacamelee 2. I didn't even throw my controller or cry out in pain.
This week, I'm jumping into a new independent release, The Messenger. Part action platformer, part Metroidvania, part love letter to the 8- and 16-bit eras of gaming. Kat already gave the game a perfect score in our review, but now I'm going to see if it's worth all the fuss. This is a no prep run, meaning I haven't played the game yet. You're seeing it as I see it.
