USgamer's RPG Podcast is Shocked Final Fantasy XV is Actually Coming Out (Probably)

AXE OF THE BLOOD GOD: Nadia joins Kat to discuss Final Fantasy XV's release date, the Brotherhood anime, and the Platinum Demo. Is this real life? Or is this just fantasy? We'll know soon enough. Plus: Stardew Valley.

Axe of the Blood God is our weekly RPG podcast hosted by Kat Bailey. You can find the show notes for previous episodes here.

In this week's episode of Axe of the Blood God (download link here), Nadia and I discuss Final Fantasy XV finally having a release date, the tie-in Brotherhood anime, and the Platinum Demo. We also (finally) talk about Stardew Valley!

Final Fantasy XV has been in development in one way or another for a decade now, so it's strange to see it getting an actual release date. Of course, it could still get delayed, but I don't think that'll happen. Square Enix is just as finished with this game as the fans and the media are.

In our second segment, Nadia and I delve into one of this year's most popular games: Stardew Valley. Yes, we're kind of late to the party on this one; but with Nadia having spent a bunch of time with it recently, now is as good a time as any to talk about it. Yes, it's strictly speaking a "farming simulator," but its JRPG roots are deep. In essence, it's an opportunity to live in one of the RPG towns that you visit on your way to an epic quest. It's good and I like it.

Next week: I'm on vacation! But hopefully I'll have some good Bravely Second chatter for you when I get back.
